when i started my fluid art journey I used a wooden lazy susan to spin out my small canvasses. Soon all the paint got into the bearing and made my spinner unusable. I needed one that was suitable for bigger formats and was more protected from flying paint. So I built one for myself. I refined the design over time and came up with a convertible version.
It became the most important tool in my studio.
Since I built my very first prototype hundreds of Spinners are now in studios all over the world. From an idea to up my own game to a business…it’s a dream come true. By now I desigend a second version to help with smaller to medium sized canvasses. The spinners are entirely build by myself in our little cabinetry shop in California. Every single piece is hand shaped (obviously there are power tools involved as well…) and you can ask for any customizations. I’m so honored to be sharing this tool
